We have two birds in our aviary.  Monster is a Greenwinged Macaw, and Chuckles is an Amazon African Grey.  Both birds are handfed. When they hear my little dogs barking they will call out..."Daisy! Petunia....Come on...get over here...hurry"...

Monster is quite a character. He greets everyone who comes to the door with a loud 'Hello'.  When they leave, he tells them 'Bye-Bye'. The further away you walk without responding, the louder he gets until you tell him "Bye Monster".

Chuckles talks so clearly and distinctly that he has mastered the tone of each person's voice in our home.  It's difficult to tell if your talking to a person, or if it's Chuckles. He's very shy, and wouldn't talk to strangers.
